Who am I

I have worked professionally in most areas of the entertainment industry from director to driver, producer to props, composer to caterer, vocal to voice-over, star to stand-in for Steve Martin, David Bowie, Robert DeNiro & others.

Born into a theatrical family in Hertfordshire, England. Mother; drama teacher/ choreographer (Victoria Beckham) father; painter (Victor Askew) tailor (Harrods) brother musician / songwriter (Suzi Quatro, Nazareth, Wishbone Ash) then European director of artist relations at Fender and Gibson.

I moved to Los Angeles 1987, pursuing investment for my own screenplays while building a celebrity tennis clientele incl. Tony Bennett, Patrick Stewart, Alan Parker, Richard Meier, David Geffen & Star Trek’s cast and creator Gene Roddenberry. Roddenberry opened a window at paramount and suggested writing an ‘Adventures of a Tennis Pro’ screenplay which became “King of America” which in turn lead to work as Hollywood script doctor inc; ‘Cheers’ (Paramount) ‘Silk Stalkings‘ (Steven J. Cannell) and musicals ‘Jekyll & Hyde’, ‘Son of Santa Claus’ and various other projects, most of which are now on this site.
